I just used The Ordinary's AHA BHA peel for the first time. I am noticing many bumps have come to the surface- what do I do?

Hydrocortisone cream typically works for me with small bumps such as these, is that safe to use after an at home peel? I also have severe acne and do not want to irritate it.
