I’m interested in having a chemical peel done, however I work with the public and it’s difficult for me to take time off. If I were to do a light chemical peel, approximately how much down time am I looking at? And is there a significant difference for a medium peel?
Answer: What is the downtime for a chemical peel? Chemical peels are different strengths and go to different depths. The deeper the peel, the longer the recovery. A very light peel could be done with essentially no down time. Much deeper peels may take a week or so for the immediate recovery and then up to a month or so of some redness.

Answer: A chemical peel takes up to 3 days to start peeling. You should peel for about a week Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: Public Face After a Peel Light peels wood cause redness for a few hours or a couple of days. Medium peels would be more like a week. Deep peels such as phenol and Croton oil will result in redness for about 2 to 3 months. The decision to have appeal needs to include consideration of how comfortable you are with some redness for that. Of time. Makeup can help conceal, but with a public facing job you may not be willing to accept this. It made me doing multiple light peels, which has good results, but still can't achieve the outcome of a deeper peel.

Answer: Downtime for chemical peel? Hello - for your lifestyle, it may be preferable to have a series of monthly light peels rather than one medium depth peel. You can achieve excellent results, and most people can cover the flaking that occurs for the week after each peel with moisturizer and still go to work like normal. I hope this helps! - Dr. Brown
