Can Sculptra and PRP treatments be done at the same time? Should they be done separately? If so, how long apart (i.e. weeks or months apart) and which treatment should be administered first? If the treatments are done at the same time, can I still massage the Sculptra treated area without diminishing the effect of PRP?
Answer: Sculptra options in Los Angeles In this case, I would not advise you to mix the two procedures as there may be an increased variable for error with these procedures combined; as they both stimulate collagen. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian

Answer: Sculptra and PRP Treatments Thanks for your question and I think you have seen some very good responses from the doctors that have given their answers. Sculptra is a great product and works over time to grow new collagen under the skin. The results, when done correctly, can last upwards of 2 years in many patients. Some doctors like PRP and others are not the biggest fan of it, as noted when patients do not seem, for some reason, to see a measureable effect. Others seem to think it is a great addition to almost anything they do. I would use it topically after injecting Sculptra if I were to do it; I would rather use other products on the skin, such as the growth factor products, such as Neocutis Biocream.

Answer: We need more science on PRP + Sculptra I have heard anecdotally that there is synergy with these 2 procedures done together, but I would like to see a blinded clinical trial comparing results of Sculptra and PRP on one side and just Sculptra on the other. Only then will we know if the increased expense to patients is worth it. The basic concept, however, does make theoretical sense. While I do not think it would cause any harm, I would really like to know for sure if it does any good. Science is about PROVING those concepts.

Answer: Sculptra blows away PRP Having seen lots of patients who have undergone both treatments, I can assure you that Sculptra it's a much better investment and much more reliable way to replace volume. The results of PRP are so variable that a significant percent patients will complain that nothing happened. Go ahead and look online for reviews, but the results can be disappointing with PRP. Meanwhile Sculptra has a very solid record of success. A better combination of products would be a series of Sculptra treatments to stimulate collagen production followed by a hyaluronic acid filler of choice. Best of luck

Answer: Sculptra and PRP Scientifically speaking, this combination makes perfect sense! We know that Sculptra works by inducing a foreign body collagen production around the microparticles of poly-lactic acid, so I would do the Sculptra first then wait a week for all the water to resorb, then inject the PRP to stimulate the fibroblasts to do their thing! We've seen truly wonderful results with this combination! Of course the production of the collagen takes time, so we ALWAYS do before and after photos as it is difficult for a patient to remember what they looked like before they undergo a very gradual change over the time the collagen is produced.
