Normal hair density for an average Caucasian male is about 200 hairs per square centimeter or 1290  hairs per square inch.  (Do the math conversion)

It certainly would be acceptable to wear a wig after FUE/FUT hair transplant. However, you should not wear one until the grafts are "stable" which is typically 10-14 days. Certainly you should discuss this with your doctor as you should follow his or her recommendations for the best result.

You cannot fix a bad hair transplant surgery. It's usually for life. You can see another doctor for your options.  Lasers cannot remove scarring from a hair transplant surgery.

The way I quantify hair graft needs is based on area.  In an area devoid of any hair,  I need 350 grafts per square inch.  In an area with some hair and scalp is easily seen,  I need 300 grafts per square inch. In an area with hair and scalp is not easily seen, I need 250...

Pluggy hair or bad hair line hair transplant is hard to remove. That is why you need to select your doctor wisely.  One way to address a bad hair line is to add more hair (in front) to cover up the bad pluggy hair.
