Hi everyone i want to know what is the normal hair density per square centimetres ? And any medications or procedures to improve the density?? And to have fuller look with dense packing how much per sq cm hairs to be transplanted
Answer: Normal hair density for an average Caucasian male is about 200 hairs per square centimeter or 1290 hairs per square inch. Normal hair density for an average Caucasian male is about 200 hairs per square centimeter or 1290 hairs per square inch. (Do the math conversion)

Answer: Density Count and Hair Transplant- Dr. Alan Feller -Great Neck, New York Be careful here. It's not the same for everyone. And more importantly, the more doesn't necessarily mean the better. As a GENERAL rule I like to make my transplants on the hairline at about 40 to 60 grafts per cm2 depending on hair caliber and graft availability. Sometimes a touch more. In the area behind that I like to keep it around 40 grafts per cm2 with allowance for some variation. Can I do more? Almost always. Should I do more? Almost never. Going beyond this point results in diminishing returns. Better to spread it a bit more and get more coverage rather than risking over packing and reduced growth yields. HT is a balance. A delicate balance between density and coverage. A good and experienced doctor knows how to dance the line.

Answer: Normal This varies from person to person and hair type. The variables are many and its good to be conservative at first. No 2 people are alike.

Answer: Dense packing, There is no such thing as normal density. Women have different density than men. Caucasian individuals have different density than those of Asian background and Asian men and women different than those of African/ Afro-carribean background. All in all normal hair density is somewhere between 170-220 hairs per sq cm ( ... or roughly 80 follicular units to 120- follicular units per sq cm). The back is more dense than the temples. The highest density occurs at birth and then slow reduces as the individual gets older. How do you make hair more dense? The first step is to find the reason why it became less dense in the first place. If the cause is genetic hair loss (androgenetic alopecia), options include minoxidil, finasteride, laser and PRP)What is dense packing?Dense packing refers to the placement of more than 35 follicular units per sq cm during the course of a hair transplant. Dense packing of 45-50 follicular units may lead to poor growth and poor surgical outcomes in some patients.
