I get Botox every four months. It seems that each time I go, my doctor adds more and more Botox. The last time was 52 units. This is not in my budget but I don't want to stop getting it. How many units do the 11's, forehead and crows feet ( just around the outside of the eyes) usually take for a 48 year old female? If I had to drop one of those areas, would the 11's soften up just by getting the forehead done? My budget is for no more than 35 units.
Answer: Options for Botox on a budget I would normally use around 60 units of Botox to treat the forehead, 11's and crow's feet in a patient. Some people could use more or less however. If your budget is for 35 units, I would either try and divide it equally between the three areas or only treat two areas. If you divide it between the three areas, you should still have some effect but it may not be as great or last as long. If you treat the forehead, this normally would not improve the 11's.

Answer: Botox on a budget Thank you for your question. I agree that a full treatment that includes 11 lines, crows feet, and forehead requires approximately 50 units. Explain to your doctor that you only want to purchase 35 units. An experienced injector will know where the biggest bang for the buck is for you. I hope this helps.- Dr. Bryson Richards

Answer: Botox Budget Thank you for your question. There are recommended units per area. Some people require more units than others depending on facial muscle strength. I would recommend doing an area that bugs you the most so the provider can give you the best result. I would recommend consulting with a Board Certified Dermatologist for best treatment plan. I hope this helps!

Answer: Botox Budget It is important for your Botox injector to be conscious of your budget. You may however not be able to treat all of the areas you have concerns about with that budget. Dosing is very individual and will depend on the results you are looking to achieve as well as the degree of aging present. I find it is better to treat two areas well rather than 3 areas only mildly. If the correct dosing is not used for a specific muscle group you may find that the area is only partially corrected and doesn't last as long as it should. You may want to consider rotating the areas you correct at each visit.

Answer: Botox In our experience, it would take between 10 and 20 units to do the 11's and the forehead, depending on the size of the forehead. 50 units is typically enough for a forehead, 11's and around the eyes. Find a new doctor if you want to use less material.
