Propecia inhibits the production of DHT, a hormone that induces hair loss in susceptible individuals. Propecia acts differently than PRP so most likely they are additive. In other words, you cannot substitute one for the other. However, we know that not all individual like to take medications like Propecia, while PRP is a natural solution that most likely improves hair diameter. Optimally, you would do both. Propecia does not work in all individuals. This drug can cause side effects such as a loss of sex drive. If you are comfortable taking medications such as Propecia, you might consider both Propecia and PRP.
