I had butt implants with fat added in in February 1st 2019 now it is end of May. Do I wear the Faja nightly from now on? (photo)

Each surgeon has his own set of post operative care instructions and the ideal situation would be for you to follow up with your original surgeon, perhaps even via FaceTime/Skype or call the office to speak to a clinical staff member. I recommend my patients wear the garment 23 hours a day post op for the first month and then 12 hours a day for the second month after surgery. If you had that opening in your buttock incision and you were my patient, I would also advise you to wait to exercise until the wound closes and continue to sleep on your stomach or sit as little as possible to allow the incision to fully heal. You do not want to leave it open too long as it risks infection. Good luck and please try to follow up with your surgeon!

Hello. Great question. Thank you for your image. How have you been following up with your surgeon? Through email, phone call or video calling? It is important that your surgeon is aware about your wound healing. If you have been in touch, follow his post op instructions as he is the one who has been closely monitoring your recovery.

The more you wear the faja the better.  It helps to keep the waist cinched.  I ask my patients to wait about 6 weeks before working out. Be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure with a low complication rate.
