When I was around 6 or 7 yrs old I accidentally ran into my dad while he was holding his lot cigarette. I was then burned below my bottom eye. I was a child and it hurt so bad that I remember rubbing my eye as soon as I got burned. Needless to say I was left with a dark circular scar underneath my eye. A few yrs ago I tried a 25% tca peel on tryin to remove it but did nothing. Tried prescription 4% hydroquione and nothing. Derm is the one go only suggested the hydroquoine cream to fade. Didnt work

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Several options are available including excising the scar to make it into a thinner, less visible line. Other options include certain types of lasers but a test patch would be required. I suggest a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon, plastic surgeon or cosmetic dermatologist in your area.

I suggest a formal consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist who specializes in lasers.  You will need topical creams for lightening but may need a scar revision surgery and/or laser treatment.  There is nothing that will get rid of a scar completely, so realistic expectations are important.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hello Ashkatluv, Thank you for the question and photo. Without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of any treatments it is difficult to be comprehensive.Given your darker complexion you may have a tendency to scar darker anytime your skin is injured.  However simply excising the scar would likely improve the cosmetic result.
