Hello there, i had a breast reduction November 2017. I’ve had this before and It went away by itself but this time i tried everything, it itches a lot I feel like it’s getting worst everyday I don’t what to do. Any suggestions?
Answer: 1 year after breast reduction surgery. It itches a lot. Do you have any suggestions? Dear Pouchy, Thank you for your question. While photos are helpful, in this instance only an in-person evaluation can accurately diagnose your issue and prescribe the correct treatment. I recommend you schedule a consultation with your board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns. They should be able to determine the cause of your symptoms and recommend a product or treatment to alleviate your symptoms. Hope this helps! Best wishes, Franziska Huettner

Answer: 1 year after breast reduction surgery. It itches a lot. Do you have any suggestions? (Photo) No photos were available for viewing. Over-the-counter anti-histamines such as Zyrtec, Bendadryl, or even a steriod cream may help reduce that itchy sensation. Best to make an appointment with your plastic surgeon for evaluation and recommend treatment.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Nipple Most likely a dermatitis of the nipple/areaola skin requiring a steroid cream. However, follow up with your surgeon. You may benefit from a biopsy of your nipple/areolar tissue to help diagnose this. A mammogram and ultrasound may also be indicated if not previously done.

Answer: Itching Dear Pouchy, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: 1 year after breast reduction surgery. It itches a lot. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you for your pictures and questions. Unfortunately, a photo is not going to be enough to help diagnose your problem. I would suggest that you return to your plastic surgeon for an evaluation or if that is not possible, see your regular doctor for an exam and referral as needed for proper diagnosis and treatment.Best of luck!Dallas R.
