I will be having Tumescent Liposuction on my chin under local anesthetic soon. I am a little concerned about the lidocaine and epinephrine used in the procedure. My dentist stopped using lidocaine with epinephrine on me because it makes my heart race. Will this be an issue with the liposuction procedure? Should I be concerned?

Hi, Dia92.The main reason to have tumescent liposuction is to remove excess external fat.Depending on your skin elasticity, the skin may tighten slightly but no significantly.If you are unhappy with your result and/or do not agree with his treatment plan, you should get a second opinion.
The fat removed will not come back. However, if you gain weight, the fat cells remaining can enlarge. It can take up to 6 months before all the swelling is gone. Remember, no skin was removed during liposuction. You are still very early in your healing phase, so please give yourself time to heal.
