I was considering either laser resurfacing or chemical peels for sun damage on my chest, arms, hands & legs. I'm concerned about the cost. Will either work?

Answer: Improving Sun Damage--add Cosmelan, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, skin care, sun protection It can take multiple treatments to deal with sun damage. I recommend a combination treatment of Fraxel lasers, IPL, microneedling/prp, Cosmelan, peels, skin care and sun protection. It is best to make a formal consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist who can come up with a long term solution. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: A combination treatment is often the most effective approach. Hello. Thank you for your question. While chemical peels and laser skin resurfacing can both help to address sun-damaged skin, the best choice for you can depend on your individual skin type and concerns. In many cases, a combination approach can achieve maximum results. If you’re concerned about costs, you may want to start with a chemical peel and see if you notice the improvement you were looking for without adding a laser treatment. However, you’ll be able to get more personalized advice at an in-person consult at a reputable cosmetic surgeon’s office.
