I underwent a lip lift procedure in mid-November. However, I have noticed that the skin near the sides of my nose pulls unnaturally whenever I smile. This is causing a deep line underneath and affecting my nasolabial fold. I am extremely upset by this and do not know what options are available to fix it.

Yes, this is possible that you have ingrown hairs or it could be buried keratin cysts that are reoccurring. You needs this area excised under local anesthesia and can be done in the office. I have had to do this with some of my patients and it is easy to resolve.
