I'm considering buttock implants, but worried about the surgeon cutting into this large muscle and putting the implants inside. Could this affect the function of the muscle in the long run?

Answer: Do intramuscular implants affect muscle function? Although an intramuscular dissection does not seem to be an anatomic space, the muscle adapts very nicely to implants. There should not be any alteration of function.

Answer: Butt implants Hi, and thank you for the question Great question. In general the technique will respect the anatomy and functions of the muscle, so none real chance will happend. the size need to be the rigth one because an implant too big can atrophy the muscle. As you can understand studies and test are needed to see if you are clear for surgery but in general, if you seek the attention of a certified plastic surgeon, you should have a great result and a normal life. So feel free to contact us for further evaluation. Thank you again and have a great day
