9th & final rhinoplasty - what's the probability for a successful outcome?

This is a very difficult question. Successful outcome can never be guaranteed and the definition of success is even harder. There are two ways to approach it. One, is it a deformity that a rhinoplasty surgeon notices easily and feels can be corrected. Two, no rhinoplasty surgeon notices it easily and feels the patient might be expecting too much perfection.
In the first situation the likelihood of a successful outcome is good (with 8 revisions the outcome cannot be great)
In the second situation the likelihood of success is very low.
Every patient in the second situation should do some soul searching in this scenario to see if it is really worth it.

Hi jogale. This is VERY dependent on why you had the other rhinoplasties and what you count as "successful outcome". I have seen up to 14 rhinoplasties in someone who was happy with their final result; however you have to understand the risks involved. Each time you operate on the nose, you are creating higher risk for irregularities/asymmetry/unusual healing/scarring, so you have to decide if it's worth chasing small irregularities with yet another surgery that puts you at even higher risk for irregularities. I would strongly consider whether you even "need" to have another rhinoplasty, and if you feel that you really do (and trusted others around you agree), then you should only consult with true experts in revision rhinoplasties as you will need someone who can really guide you through the process and give you realistic expectations.
