Question

I just had my first consultation (virtual), and was told I was not a good candidate due to a previous rhinoplasty. The doctor said I already had a lot of nostril show, and the procedure would make it worse and not look good. I'm pretty bummed because I really wanted this done. So I wanted some other opinions. I've been getting filler for 6 years, and it does nothing but weigh my lips down.

It looks as though you have asymmetry of your upper lip with very nicely defined philtral columns. I would begin with fillers to realign the lips followed by a minimal lip lift to reduce the height of the upper lip.

A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. You would benefit from a lip lift. However, it should not change the upturn nature of your nose.
