I specifically have been reading Brazilian butt lift reviews on here and I came across maybe 3 reviews where the person said during the procedure was very painful. How could that be possible if the area is supposed to be numb? It makes me a little worried. I would I hope I feel absolutely nothing during the actual procedure.
Answer: Is it possible to feel pain at all during the Brazilian butt lift procedure or any procedure at all? Local anesthesia does a less than satisfactory job for pain blocking with many areas of liposuction and during fat transfer to the buttocks which will receive a large amount of fat. I perform all but the smallest liposuctions under general. I would search for the board certified plastic surgeon who you feel is most likely to give you the best results and who performs hundreds of these procedures each year. I would look at patient reviews as well as before and after photos on that surgeon's website.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Brazilian Butt lift under local anesthesia? In order to perform a Brazilian butt lift properly, you should be under general anesthesia and therefore you will not feel anything during the procedure. I do all of my Brazilian butt lifts under general anesthesia. Make sure that your the person performing your procedure is well qualified, and not doing them under local anesthesia because they are not a plastic surgeon, or don't have the ability to take you to a facility where they can use general anesthesia. Seek a consultation with a board-certified (by the American Board of Plastic Surgery) plastic surgeon who specializes in gluteal shaping. Hope this helps and best wishes.

Answer: Staying comfortable during your bbl. i use general anesthesia with a board-certified anesthesiologist during a bbl procedure. this means you are asleep and do not feel any of the surgery. some plastic surgeons prefer to use either twilight anesthesia (where you are sedate but not asleep), or no sedation and solely local anesthesia (just numbing medicine in the tissues but you are fully awake). it is likely that the patients you are describing that felt pain during the procedure did not have general anesthesia and were awake during it. it is important to consult with board certified plastic surgeons that routinely offer this procedure - and ask them their preferred method of anesthesia and why. good luck!

Answer: Is it possible to feel pain at all during the Brazilian butt lift procedure or any procedure at all? I believe that when you perform surgery you should try to get an excelent result along with maximal patient comfort. With that in mind I perform the BBL under general anesthesia, which is also the most common method. Under general anesthesia you feel no pain at all during the surgery. So you don't have to worry about intraoperative pain. You should consult with a Board Certified PS with extensive experience performing the BBL.

Answer: BBL under local i think that if a brazilian butt lift is done under local, the first few injections of the fat can be uncomfortable until the local that is mixed with it takes effect. I prefer to do these under general.
