I had ptosis surgery on both eyelids in 2014. Within 6 weeks I had pain in my right eye. My ocular p/s said dry eye but all tests from 4 docs say no dry eye. I still have the pain/irritation and can't wear my gas permeable contact lens in that eye or eye will swell up and water. My question is why this happens and also whether cataract surgery will do the same thing and irritate it? My left eye has no problems.

Best to give it more time to heal. Eyelid ptosis surgery can be difficult, especially revision eyelid ptosis but it is possible using a special technique.
