I do not think you had botched eyelid surgery based on the photo you have posted but best to seek in person consultation for more accurate evaluation.
This scar can be revised and cleaned up. In addition the lashes can be better supported and the eye can be make to loo brighter using a surgical procedure called an anchor blepharoplasty. Improving this eyelid requires a detailed assessment. The surgery is performed under light intravenous sedation. It is about a week before the stitches are removed and about 10-14 days before others are unaware that you just had a surgery. There is no reason to live with a result you are not happy with. Help is out there.
Hi, it is hard to tell from the side angle, as it is best to evaluate ptosis and eyelid position from a front angle. From what I can see, the eyelid margin appears to clear the pupillary axis. You may have some excess skin that bothers you on the eyelid and that can be removed with a blepharoplasty. You would benefit from a consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon.
but you do have valid concerns. As mentioned by the others, a scar revision could be done if accepting of the change in the width of your fold (will it still match the other side). You do have lashes pointing downward but ptosis surgery does not impact the growth of your lashes. If the level of your lids is near equal in relation to your iris, you have an excellent outcome.
I would consider getting a second opinion, it is possible you need a revision surgery. If you do undergo a revision, consider a surgeon who will do your procedure while you are awake and able to demonstrate a solid repair that is symmetric before leaving the operating room.
Thank you for sharing your question. Typically, ptosis can change appearance during the day. Fatigue can worsen it. On occasion, it can be related to a medical condition. Please see an Oculoplastic Surgeon for comprehensive evaluation and guidance.Good luck,
Need examination to better help you but it does appear you have persistent right upper eyelid ptosis and revision eyelid ptosis surgery should be considered. Revision ptosis surgery also has to deal with existing scar tissue and I use a very special technique for that.
