I believe you are a poor candidate for fillers. You would benefit from a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Thank you Suzie for your photos.I would like to start by saying that it is not about the best filler or the longest filler but mostly about the proper filler, properly injected. You will need more than 1 ml to correct the volume loss but once you achieve the result you were hoping for, you will just need to maintain in with very little touch up every 6-12 months.The duration of fillers varies from patient to patient and usually depends on factors like type of filler, amount used, area injected and the metabolism.Based on your photos, there is a significant volume loss around your mouth causing the lines to show. In my opinion to achieve a balanced look, it is advised to have filler injected into the lips ( both upper and lower, lip lines and around the mouth) I would utilize the combination of fillers like Restylane Silk, Restylane Kysse and Restylane Refyne . I suggest spacing the injections into 2-3 sessions to allow for easier healing time.The most of the treatment depends on the skills of the injector and the type and the amount of product to be used. Your concern requires a highly skilled injector to correct. Restylane skin boosters, or Juvaderm hydrate are probably the best choice for injecting the vertical lines of the lips, also called the smokers lines. They both last approximately six months each. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.

If you’ve never had fillers before, then, I suggest you focus all your efforts and finding the most talented provider in your community.
With this type of treatment, it’s not so much the product but how the procedure is done that determines outcomes and this determines patient satisfaction
“smokers line” are notoriously difficult to treat(whether someone smokes or not)
Finding the best provider it’s not always easy or straightforward.
Consider having a few consultations without committing to having treatment. Ideally experience providers should have impressive collections of before and after pictures. Look for previous patients who have very similar facial characteristics to your own. Bring pictures of your own face to use. It’s a reference when reviewing before and after pictures.
Don’t look for bargains with this type of treatment. Those who have a proven track record are going to charge appropriate fees.
Getting an undesirable outcome is perhaps the most expensive treatment you can possibly have.
Expect to pay somewhere between $500 and $2000.
It’s not a bad idea to consult with providers who have the appropriate skill and experience to offer all facial aesthetic procedures. In other words, consider consulting with senior board-certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeons as long as they are doing the treatment and they’re not handing this off to a nurse.
