I have a red mole with a white halo on my inner thigh. It's also slightly asymmetric and has grown a little since a year ago. Before it was smaller and flat; now it's bigger and a bit raised. Is it cancerous and should I be concerned?

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Some "red moles" like the one you have pictured are absolutely healthy and some "red moles" can be very dangerous.
What you have pictured clinically appears as a cherry angioma which is a benign vascular growth.   These can easily be treated in clinic.   Insurance does not pay for the treatment of these lesions because they are benign.   If there is clinical evidence of irritation, we can take a picture, send it to the insurance company and try to get the treatment covered.
