How do I fix a hole/indent from a mole removal to reduce scarring? (photo)

I got my moles on my cheek removed through electrodesiccation/ laser and it has been around 3 weeks since it was removed and the mole scabs were picked off, however, the indents/holes are still prominent, how do I fix this?

Your scars are still pink an definitely "immature" at 3 weeks. This is not the final result. It is common to get indentations after mole removal by electrodessication (or laser). You should wait 6 months before considering any intervention, such as a scar revision (minor surgery). Sometimes filler injections can help, depending on the situation and your expectations. For now, use sun protection and be patient. If the scars are still problematic in 5 to 6 months, consult with a Board Certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes!

This scar can be improved with laser spot treatment, fillers, microneedling/prp and subcision to help texture and blending. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer

It looks like you are still in the healing phase of your procedure and quite early for the areas treated to heal completely.  In our practice we remove many moles and skin lesions every day.  The time to healing from procedure to scab is about a week to 2 weeks.  The time from healed pink spot to complete resolution can take up to 3 months or more. This means the indent and skin color return to normal.  Different areas of your body heal at different rates.  Continue to baby it and apply sun protection to ensure it heals appropriately and make sure you follow up with your doctor who performed the procedure.  Thanks - Dr Khan
