I have leg scars (light brown freckle like spots) from Vasculitus. Is there anything I can use to fade/remove them? (photo)

Depending on the type of Vasculitis ( there are are many types, some involving large blood vessels and some involving smaller ones) and whether it is in the upper skin layers or fat and whether it is still active or in remission, treatment to help with the scars and pigmentation is possible.Treatments would most likely involve the use of several types of lasers and possibly chemical peels, depending on many factors.The first step should be a visit with a Dermatologist experienced with Vasculitis and an expert in Laser treatments to determine the best options for you.

this is hard to treat and in some instances i have cleared this with pulsed dye or yellow laser in combination with clear + brilliant/fraxel or peels.  this is basically hemosiderin (iron) that is trapped under the skin.  topical and oral vitamin C help and topical glycolic creams or scrubs.  but rarely have I see this cured.  Best, Dr. Emer.
