Facial pain after nose job

Question

Closed rhino 2 mos ago. Left sided pain (over osteotomy and cheek) since then. At first light, now getting worse. Sinuses and normal post-op changes on CT. Even did Abx prophylaxis just in case. Is it nerve pain? Temporary? Permanent? When does it go away? Nose looks good.

Pain at two months is not common. Sensistivity over the area of the side wall where the osteotomies were performed can be for a while. Best to see your surgeon to be evaluated.

Pain after osteotomy is unusual. Please contact your otolaryngologist to make sure that this is not due to contact point rhinologic pain secondary to the pressure on the middle turbinate on the septum.If this is just normal pain due to surgery however, it will likely go away in 6-12 months.
