If I get facial filler for cheeks and lose 5 kg's of weight. Will the filler be pointless in terms of filling?

Loosing weight should not significantly change your results or distort your face. If the weight loss is significant you might consider a filler "touch up" to maintain the attractive shape of your face. Also, if you think you might be needing injectibles for years to come, consider fat grafting as a longer lasting alternative to temporary fillers. Best wishes!

Facial sculpting and contouring of the face can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Contour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers are an excellent solution to facial volume loss you describe here, however I would strongly recommend waiting till your stable weight is reached prior to injection not due to displacement of product but purely your overall aesthetic result.

You have presented a good question. You have described loss of facial volume. Without assessing your face, one option is the use of a hyaluronic acid such as Juvederm, Voluma, or Perlane, or Radiesse or Sculptra. The hyaluronic acids offer immediate results, a reversal treatment( if for some reason you did not like the result), and they last for approximately 9 months to a year depending on if optimal result was obtained initially or if follow-up treatments were required. Radiesse is unique because it provides good support and volume and lasts for approximately 1 to 1.5 years but there really is no reversal component. Sculptra is a dermal stimulator. You do not have immediate results with Sculptra, as with the other injectables but once optimal treatment is obtained, the duration if approximately 2-4 years. If you lost weight following a volumizer and the product was placed anatomically correct initially, there should not be contour abnormalities. It is important to have an experienced injector with several products to choose to offer recommendations and provide treatment. If the amount of product and technique are correct, your desired outcome should be met.Thank you.

A 5-10 pound weight loss shouldn't adversely affect your filler results. More than that and you may need a bit of a "touch up". But the filler, once placed, does not move or migrate even with weight loss.
