Is It Safe to Have a Facelift After Sculptra?

The Sculptra shouldn't interfere with your facelift.  However you have missed a bit of a chance to give your future experienced facelift surgeon a totally accurate view of your appearance without temporary filler.  Hopefully your doctor will review a series of your older photographs to see what the appearance without Sculptra is.

  I agree with the last doctor who replied, and I applaud your decision to move from a thread lift procedure to a more traditional one.  In the long run, it is very likely that you will be happier with this decision.  I do not believe that the Sculptra will have any effect on the results of your facelift procedure and that you can proceed safely.  Good luck!

Sculptra injections can induce more scarring in the face, however if they are done in the first 6-8 weeks there is not as much scarring as when they are done long term. The surgeon needs to be aware of this and can treat it appropriately. Often, it mimics a secondary facelift in the dissection planes.

Face lifts and volumizing procedures such as fat grafting or sculptra work together instead of getting in the way of each other.  It would be fine to do a lift after sculptra.

See a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for an assessment.  We do not do thread lifts as they do not seem to have any long term benefit, and suture reactions can be an issue.  Thus, the facelift sounds like a good idea, and a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon can assess if Sculptura is an issue now or will be in the future.  Perhaps you will need Sculptura in the future.

First, I agree with your decision to skip on the threadlift, and go with a proven surgical procedure.  Second, a single injection of Sculptra is not going to significantly fill out your cheeks and interfere with your long term facelift results.

Yes, it is safe to have a facelift after Sculptra.  I often use both together to achieve the best and most natural looking results
 

I agree with the posts here - we do perform many facelifts before, after, and at the same time as sculptra injections with great results.

Threadlifts may work, they tend not to last as long so a lift is usually a better choice.  Best of luck!

Avoiding the thread-lift was an intelligent choice in avoiding a complete waste of money.  There is absolutely no contraindication to having a Facelift after Sculptra.

Facelift surgery is safe following Sculptra treatment. In fact, volume replacement with fat or Sculptra goes hand in hand, in many cases, with lifting of the face and neck tissues. Find an experienced Facial Plastic Surgeon for full evaluation but what you're proposing is safe and a common question.Stephen Weber MD, FACS

Having performed facelift on many patients after fillers (including Sculptra, Radiesse, Hyaluronic acids etc), I did not find this to be a problem. So, I think it is safe to go ahead with a facelift and it should not negatively affect your facelift outcome.
