I had a face/neck lift 2 years ago this month. Had an initial good(ish) result, (it was really lifted but there was temporary nerve damage with a lopsided smile) it now looks pretty much like it prior to the facelift! I went back to the surgeon a few times but he was never interested and has now retired. The surgeon who has taken over his practice has offered to neaten up uneven bit under my chin but it won't help much. I spent the best part of £9000. So disappointed! Thoughts anyone?
Answer: Facelift result Its difficult to comment without photos. Typically surgical results should last ten years. In situations where the facelift result are short-lived a secondary procedure can be performed. I have adopted a new procedure facetite where minimally invasive radiofrequency can significantly tighten facelift results.

Answer: Facelift If the lift was based on only skin tightening, it can relapse quickly. Usually some form of SMAS tightening is needed for a longer result.

Answer: Fat grafting #fattransfer #microfatgrafting #facialcontouring #recovery #facelifting Dear Lela BergeronThank you for your question! I am sorry you have experienced these issues. In some patients results can disappear quickly - particularly the neck - where the skin has the poorest support and quality. You may need to re-drape/tighten the skin and add volume with fat grafting. With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD

Answer: Face and neck lift has dropped! Hello. Thank you for your question. Sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your results. It is really impossible to make any assessment of your results without before and after pictures to view. The results of facelift surgery can vary from one patient to another, depending on multiple factors, including surgical technique, genetic factors, skin and soft tissue elasticity, body habitus, underlying skeletal structure, sun exposure, smoke exposure, etc.. Most of these factors are out of the control of the surgeon. A facelift is simply a way to "turn back the hands of time" and give someone a more youthful look. However, every patient continues to age from day 1 after the procedure. So the results of a facelift will diminish with each passing year following the procedure. Patients will look older 2 years after the procedure than they do 1 year after the procedure, and they will look older 5 years after the procedure than 2 years after the procedure. It will typically take 4 - 10 years for things to return back to the preoperative state, depending on the individual. However, no surgeon can make any guarantees about the longevity of their results, because there are so many factors that are out of the surgeon's control. If the results don't stand the test of time, as is the case in some patients, then a revision facelift or "tuck-up" procedure can be performed to improve the results. I would suggest that you seek a consultation with a board certified Facial Plastic Surgeon, who has extensive experience and expertise in facial rejuvenation, and allow them to assess your individual anatomy, concerns and goals, and determine the best treatment plan for you. I wish you the best in achieving your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Decreased skin quality and elasticity can limit #facelift results Hi. I'm sorry that your results have fallen short. It is difficult to comment specifically, especially without pics. Sometimes, skin that is inelastic or lax sags quickly after a lift and requires treatments to boost elastin & collagen content in the skin. This can be accomplished with the use of retin A, laser treatments, chemical peels etc. Consider trying these before proceeding with additional surgery as they don't carry much risk or downtime. Best wishes,
