Some doctors say that my eyelids can be altered and some cant say that they are too deep. I love my blue eyes but I want them to be more open and have some type of sexy shape to them.
Answer: Opening up the orbit. Thanks for your question and for your photograph. As plastic surgeons, when we evaluate the orbital area we're not just looking at the skin in the upper eyelid. We look at the skin, the bony orbit itself, and the position of the eyebrows. If loose skin is the issue, then the skin can be excised. If the browse are low, then sometimes a brow lift will help open the orbital area. Unfortunately, if the eyes are deeply inset in the bony orbit options are more difficult and most plastic surgeons not address this because of concerns for satisfaction and safety. To evaluate your eyes a plastic surgeon will need to see you in person, elevate the browse and evaluate the skin to see if maneuvers and he either one of these areas will satisfy you.Best wishes.

Answer: Surgical and Nonsurgical Options for the Eyelids The eyes are the windows to the soul. All too often, however, they seem to reveal exhaustion. The very delicate skin around the eyes tends to get crepey and puffy due to fatigue and stress. Eyelid surgery has become one of my most popular procedures. If excess upper eyelid skin is hooding the eye and needs to be eliminated, an incision is made in the crease at the top of the lid and excess fat and skin are removed. The incisions are closed and sutured on the underside of the skin. An effective non-surgical option that might benefit you is Thermage®, which can tighten the skin around the eyes. The new and improved Thermage® is a virtually painless, non-invasive (no incision!) treatment that can tighten skin and stimulate your body to make healthier collagen—the building block that provides structure to your skin. Fast and easy, Thermage® requires no downtime from normal activities.

Answer: Yes, eyelid surgery would make your eyes look bigger! Yes, I do believe that eyelid surgery would make your beautiful blue eyes more apparent and more noticed by others. That said, an argument could also be made that you might benefit from a brow lift as an alternative to eyelid surgery. Either procedure, in the right hands, would likely give you the results you are seeking. Good luck!

Answer: Bigger eyes with eyelid surgery Yes, your blue eyes may be more visible with cosmetic surgery. Eyes can appear more "open" with upper eyelid surgery or brow lift surgery. Upper eyelid surgery can be performed in the office with local anesthesia, while a brow lift typically is performed with IV sedation. For appropriate patients, Botox may be an alternative to help lift the eyebrow and "open" the eyes. Speak with a plastic surgeon to help determine appropriate options for you.Best,Dr. Chaboki

Answer: Bigger eyes from eyelid surgery The answer is that eyelid surgery could remove excess skin in the upper eyelid and may well improve the appearance of your eyes. The other part of the equation is your brows which might be improved in position either with Botox or perhaps a brow lift. I'd have to see you for a consultation to advise you better. I'm happy to see you for this if you would like. Best of luck.
