Excess Skin Left over After Ptosis Surgery -- Should I Get More Surgery?

The photo shows that you have left upper eyelid ptosis.  Skin only removal is not going to fix the situation.  Please do not get the wrong surgery.  What I recommend is a very careful consultations with an aesthetically oriented oculoplastic surgeon.  The American Society for Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) maintains a geographic directory with world wide listings of well qualified surgeons.  Look carefully on the individual websites of the surgeons to try to decide if the surgeon might be right for you.  It is best if you do not have to travel for surgical help.  However, the reality is the best aesthetically oriented surgeons are located in the biggest cities.

You still have residual left upper eyelid ptosis, which is why it is worse later in the day when you tired. There is some extra skin as well but there is also hollowness of the left upper eyelid/brow (with the effect being same as letting the air out of a balloon).  See an oculoplastic surgeon for evaluation.

It isn't uncommon to have a different appearance to the eyelid skin and crease after having surgery on only one eyelid.  You do still have some ptosis as well. You may consider having the residual ptosis corrected through a skin incision and have some of the excess skin taken as well.  In our office, this would typically cost about $1500.
