Hello, about a year ago I went into a surgeon's office seeking XL implants. He told me I would have to get a lift first and the largest he could go would be 650cc on a first augmentation. Fair enough so I did it. However, now I'm ready to go bigger and don't feel like spending a week in California, Nevada, or Florida since it will cost me an extra $5-10k easily for a comfortable hotel, airfare, and transportation. So, does anyone in WA do XL augmentations? I cannot find anyone who advertises it.
Answer: Looking for an XL breast implant surgeon Thank you for the important question; careful selection of plastic surgeon will be the most important decision you make. Although I cannot provide you with specific names, I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. ***Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. Basically, patients should look at the overall "quality" of the outcomes achieved; in other words, it will be important that patients see lots of examples of outcomes that they would be pleased with. Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. You may find the attached link, dedicated to "larger" breast augmentation surgery concerns, helpful to you as you learn more. Best wishes.

Answer: Seek a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in WA It is best to begin by seeking a board-certified Plastic Surgery in Washington who has a great deal of experience with cosmetic #breast #surgery. You will then greatly improve your chances of getting the result you desire, and, without the need for a revision surgery. It is suggested that you look at before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients, and read patient reviews. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision. Please be advised that each patient is unique and previous results are not a guarantee for individual outcomes. As with all cosmetic surgery, results will be rewarding if expectations are realistic. With any surgical procedure, there are some risks which your doctor will discuss with you during your consultation.

Answer: Looking for an XL breast implant surgeon in WA state. Thank you for your question. There is no plastic surgeon who "specializes" in XL implants. If anyone does advertise this, I would be very suspicious of him or her. I would strongly advise against traveling for cosmetic surgery, it is unnecessary and can be dangerous. The bottom line is that at this time, the largest silicone implant available is 800 cc and there are saline implants that size that could be over filled to 850 cc or more, but there is nothing else on the market larger than this from a reputable implant manufacturer. If you currently have 650 cc and want to go larger, go speak to any local board certified plastic surgeon. If you have a wide enough breast to accommodate an implant that large, then it may be an option for you as long as you understand and have a conversation about the possible long term consequences of an implant that large.Best of luck!

Answer: Wanting the biggest augmentation is possible but it requires your acknowledgement of the problems that will happen down the road and the acceptance of needing more surgery to correct the problems, with the potential that some problems may not be fixable. A lot of surgeons will dissuade patients from going large because they don't want to be associated with the outcome and they believe the know what is best for the patient. I personally don't judge like that but will make sure my patients understand the risks of going XL before proceeding as I don't want to have to deal with the 'I didn't know' questions.

Answer: Very large or XL augmentations Yes, I think there are several of us that offer very large implants in the Seattle area, while it's not specifically advertised. I base implant choice on patient goals, the dimensions of their body, and the look they are going for. For those that I think 'xl' implants will fit them and meet their goals, I can offer it. I always warn patients that very, very large implants are heavy, and can stretch and thin out their breast tissue over time, and this can affect the long term result.
