How long does it take for a breast to settle after capsulectomy? (Photo)

Breast #revision surgery is more difficult, complicated, and requires more time than primary surgery. Capsular contracture may recur regardless of surgeries being performed at this time and may require additional surgeries. There is as much as a 40% chance!!! that additional surgery will be needed following this operation. Also, any asymmetries regarding the folds under your breasts will not be totally corrected. 
It can be up to one year see your final result. Your doctor may also require you to move or massage the implants within the breast pockets during the #postoperative period. (#Textured implants do not require breast massage.)  Typically, it's best to wait 6 to 12 months depending on the reason for #revision.  Matters such as sagging or drooping  and size change will not improve with time. As with all cosmetic surgery, results will be rewarding if expectations are realistic. With any surgical procedure, there are some risks which is usually discussed with you during your consultation.

It is hard to say.  If you ask me the one breast that is lower looks like it needs a lift. An exam in person may show  otherwise. I would wait several months to see how things settle.

Thank you for the great question and the photo. After a revision surgery it can take a few months before the implant and tissue have settled completely. This can be a long and frustrating process so hang in there! A capsule starts forming around the implant within the first couple of weeks after surgery. However, even though all implants have a capsule around them, not all of the them develop capsular contracture. Hopefully you will not develop capsular contracture again.
