The doctor gives me the choice of Radiesse or Ellanse. My chin is not THAT recessed at all.

question. Ellanse I find in my clinical practice, is an amazing filler that can
gives long lasting results. It is also a soft filler and with Ellanse M can
last up to 2 years. There is also a 4-year product. Ellanse also stimulates Type 1 collagen which
is something that we all lack as we get older.
 HA fillers can also
be used to augment the chin but you would require a heavier product such a
Juvederm Voluma or Resytalne Volyme/Lyft as these products also have the added
advantage that they can be dissolved if you do not like your results.

It is difficult to assess the best product to use for augmenting your chin without seeing photographs. 
In my experience, Ellanse is a great product for augmenting the chin. It gives good support without feeling hard and the results last for up to 2 years if EllanseM is used. I don't like using a longer lasting product because further changes can occur over a longer period, such as skin laxity,leading to changes in the shape of the chin. 
Alternatively a hyaluronic acid filler such as Restylane Volyme or Juvederm Voluma can be used with really good results and with the safeguard of being able to dissolve the product if the result does not meet your expectation.
