I think I broke my vomer bone. Can rhinoplasty fix the issue?

Question

Around 7 years ago, i suffered a trauma to the nose. It caused my nose to appear wider than anybody in my family. And the septal cartilage became twisted. When i feel the area below the septal cartilage with my fingers, there are broken pieces of bones moving around. Then I tried to fix it with manipulating by hand this vomer bone area with small force. Now my nose looks worse and more flat than ever. Did i broke my vomer bone more? What should i do? Can rhinoplasty fix the issue?

Rhinoplasty is complicated and demands exceptional skill on behalf of the surgeon and great communication with the patient about realistic goals and expectations.Chances are you broke more than the vomer bone. The objective of a rhinoplasty is not to fix the vomer. It is to improve nasal breathing if needed and to improve facial aesthetics. Make sure to seek out the care of a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in rhinoplasty. Find someone you connect with who will listen to your concerns and provide you with a framework for what is possible.

I would recommend going to a board certified rhinoplasty surgeon for a consultation or at the very least an ENT specialist. If you did in fact break it, then you need to get it set properly or it will heal improperly. This will then cost you more in the future to fix after it has healed.
