I recently discovered my doctor is having his medical assistant prepare the dilution of botox and saline. When I asked how the RATIO of Botox and saline is determined, he said he determines it, but the assistant mixes it. I don't know how to feel about this. Is this standard practice? Is it okay?

Bella, Headache lasting a day or so is sometimes seen after Botox and are easily relieved by NSAIDs, but headache and flu-like symptoms are more likely associated with some other process, like a viral syndrome. You may wish to ask your doctor about this, but I doubt that Botox is the cause...
Botox is great for shrinking excessive saliva glands but only experienced doctor should do it. The doses can range from 20 to 40 units per side.I hope that helps and best regards, Dr. Sapijaszko.
I'm sorry, but WHAT??? Botox is NOT a numbing agent. It does not numb things like lidocaine. The doctor told you he put Botox in? As a side note, this would cost the doctor a ton of money! Botox costs hundreds of dollars a vial. Lidocaine costs about $1.50 a vial. I have no idea why any doctor...
