It's very unusual to have the filler completely metabolize in that short period of time. Either most of your results are from swelling (not the actual filler) or you are breaking down the hyaluronic acid faster than normal- which would be unlikely but possible. It's important to see exactly how much filler is being injected, and where under the skin it's being placed. If the filler is placed too deep under the skin, the results will be lost. Silicone injections are permanent and would be a better option moving forward.&nbsp;

I had 1 syringe of juvaderm 3 months ago and it DID completely disappear with 2-3 weeks. The Dr refused to help me, so I went to a different clinic where they decided to try Perlane instead. (1syringe) Same thing happened, it's been about 3 weeks and it's gone. I can still feel small bumps where the injections were done, but the fullness I had while in the chair is gone. i take a med called suboxone for migraines. Please help! Is there a vitamin I can take? Is it the suboxone? Am I dehydrated?

It's certainly unfortunate, but sometimes it takes time to tailor the right amount, and right injection points, for your Botox injections. Because it sounds like your muscles are relaxed too much to allow for usage while driving, perhaps less units should be used next time. The effects should wear off in about 3 months, but you may see gradual improvement starting in two.&nbsp;

Had botox in my lower leg for tight calf muscle spacisity right below my knee and other areas of my leg I was able to drive up till 5 days later now I can't will I ever be able to drive again

Fillers can be used in various parts of the face- and you should speak to your dermatologist about what exactly tore trying to fix in your lower face. Laxity or hollowing out can be improved with fillers- and are used quite often to help rebuild the bone structure of the jawline and lower face. Good luck!

I've been told that fillers, in this case, Juvaderm, injected at the temples does wonders to rejuvenate the face. I don't have an issue with this part of my face and my hair hides them most of the time anyway. I would like to know if this procedure benefits the lower face as well. For instance, sometimes plumping the skin in one region can help lift the skin in another.

Would fillers rejuvenate my lower face, or would they only be effective on the temples?

I recently moved to a new town, and unfortunately, I need to find a new doctor for my Juvederm and Botox. I loved my last one, but he is on the other side of the country, so I'm trying to find the very best-rated physician that I can, and ideally, one who specializes in dermal fillers. It's a great question- and it's important to see a dermatologist who has been working with Botox for a long time to better assess if you're an ideal candidate. Botox, generally speaking, CAN help lift the brows, if injected into the correct muscles. If done in incorrect areas, it can also lower brows. Pick your dermatologist wisely!<br>Good luck!

I like the shape of my eyebrows! But I am very unhappy with wear they sit on my face. In my opinion they are extremlely low. I don't have hooded eyes or anything, but I feel like when I don't smile I always look sad because of my eyebrows. Would botox alone be enough to raise them? I don't have the money for anything else drastic!

The dilution of Botox is very straightforward. Once the primary MD determines what dilution he or she is comfortable with, a medical assistant can can help by reconstituting the bottle. Medical assistants are pretty capable and are trained to handle small tasks such as drawing up and mixing fluids- even the anesthetic in the office!&nbsp;

I recently discovered my doctor is having his medical assistant prepare the dilution of botox and saline. When I asked how the RATIO of Botox and saline is determined, he said he determines it, but the assistant mixes it. I don't know how to feel about this. Is this standard practice? Is it okay?

There are no contraindications with aspirin use and injection of fillers such a juvederm, Voluma or restylane (among others)- but since aspirin is a blood thinner, you'll be more likely to bruise &nbsp;after the injections. Just be prepared- and make sure you let your doctor know so THEY are prepared. &nbsp;

Is Juvederm Voluma or Restylane contra-indicated if one cannot suspend daily aspirin regimen?

Botox- and the other neurotoxins dysport and xeomin- are not only safe, but the results are temporary. Make sure you're seeing a professional who has experience using these injectables. Explain to your MD the concerning wrinkles on your face so they can better assist you and best use the Botox to address your concerns. &nbsp;If you aren't pleased with results, give them feedback so they can approach your concerns going forward. And relax! It's safe- and will wear off within a few months.&nbsp;

I want to try Botox but I'm really not feeling safe from the Botox side effects. What do you think? Are side effects temporary?

Unfortunately Botox will do the opposite if injected into the chest! Remember that Botox causes muscle relaxation- so it will prevent the pectoralis muscle from flexing- making it look smaller. Implants are the most common cosmetic option for what you're requesting- and I recommend discussing this option with your plasric surgeon. hope that helps!

Not to worry! Although I know you're distressed and worried, results from Botox (and all the other cosmetic neurotoxins) are completely transient. You'll see results reversing as early as the end of April (soon!). It's best not to have them inject the other side to "even-it-out" because you'll be asymmetric when the initial side starts to wear off. Be patient- and make sure in the future they never inject that same area.. Stay higher up on the face when injecting to avoid those sensitive nerve areas. Ultimately - be reassured that your results are only temporary. &nbsp;

My doctor accidentally injected my infraorbital nerve with Botox. Then proceeded to inject something else into the the nerve to complete the numbing. I went back to have Botox injected into the other side to make it a little more even. What are the chances that the nerve is permanently damaged? Will my smile ever be the same? If it is damaged what if anything can be done? I had the Botox last week of March so when should I start being concerned that there could be damage?
