When will I be able to return to work after rhinoplasty? I travel to another city for work

Hi, I'm not too concerned about your commute to work. Unless you ride on horseback, I would think the trip is smooth enough that the risk of hitting your nose on something or having too much discomfort from the bumpiness is pretty low. I would take a week off of work to be safe. After that, when you ultimately return to work depends on your job duties and your specific surgical plan.

There is always a risk of nosebleed within the first 21 days after rhinoplasty surgery, so with it's always a good idea to be driving distance from your surgeon for the first three to four weeks after surgery. Hello, hope you are well. The majority of my patients take 1 week off from work after rhinoplasty. That is also when the external splint is removed, as well as any sutures if need be. This is a question you will want to revisit with your surgeon in case there are any special considerations.

Going back to work 10 days after your nose surgery will not be a problem. The thing you need to take into consideration is the type of work that you do. If it's desk work, going back straight after is ok, if it's an active work where you are required to walk around a lot, we advice you to take breaks inbetween. But otherwise, commuting to work after 10 days will not cause a problem. Staying in contact with your surgeon during this time is the safest way possible.
