Do I have tyndal effect or lip pigmentation? (photos)

Question

Had lip fillers in bottom lip and since then have noticed purple effect on lips. Not sure if it was there prior to lip fillers but I have attached a picture before filler and after filler. Could it be tyndal effect of filler injected superficially or could it that I had a mark on my lips prior to injection and now it is more visible with filler?

It's difficult to say for sure without a physical examination, but the purple hue you are seeing could be due to the Tyndall effect caused by the filler being injected too superficially. This effect occurs when the filler material is injected too close to the surface of the skin, causing it to scatter light and create a bluish or purplish appearance. Another possibility is that the filler has accentuated a pre-existing mark or discoloration on your lips. It's best to consult with your injector to determine the cause of the discoloration and discuss possible solutions. They may suggest injecting hyaluronidase to dissolve the filler or recommend a different approach to achieve your desired results.

The Tyndall effect is very unusual in lips due to the thicker skin. I suspect you had that pigmentation prior.
