Hi, I’m looking desperately for a treatment that helps me to vanish my jowls and lose skin under the chin. I’m only 35 and have been issues with these areas for almost 4 years. I’ve tried PDO COG threads which were a waste of money. HIFU (which didn’t make any difference at all) and some fillers for marionette line, chin and jawline which I didn’t find useful either. I even think it made the lumpy parts around the mouth worse. Morpheus8? A different HiFu? Botox? Surgery? Any idea? Thanks

Answer: Deep plane short scar facelift and possibly neck lift Thank you for your enquiry and sharing your photographs. Your situation requires careful clinical examination in person. For someone in your age group, there are a number of alternatives both surgical and nonsurgical that need to be weighed in carefully with regards to outcomes versus risk versus scars. As a blanket statement, a short scar deep plane facelift can address the type of concerns that you have and improve to a degree the appearance of the neck. The degree of change that to seek for the neck cannot be assessed on these photographs and a neck lift procedure maybe better suited to deliver the results. For improvement in the appearance of the jawline and marionette lines, a minimal access facelift can potentially be suitable. This can be evaluated better in consultation. As a rule of thumb, if you want to try and evaluate the potential impact of a short scar face lift, you can look in the mirror when you lie down completely flat without a pillow. The redistribution of the facial volumes along the midface and jawline has a lot of similarities with the appearance that you would expect to obtain from a facelift. If this seems like the right choice for you, it would be worth investigating further.
