9 months ago I visited a dr about injectables to look more "refreshed". She reccomended that I try undereye filler and shared 1ml between two eyes. Prior to this I had no lines (28), but due to thin skin darkish undereyes. Long story short, one eye seems overfilled and when I smile, I notice more creases caused by the side with heavier filler - is this the cause? As time goes one I can see wrinkles on that side forming whereas no signs of ageing are obvious on the other eye.
Answer: Under eye filler I'm sorry to hear of the concerns you have after your filler treatment. It's possible that the creases you are noticing are from the filler. From the submitted photo the area does not appear to be overfilled. I encourage you to return to your injector to discuss your concerns. If desired you can have HA fillers dissolved with hyaluronidase.

Answer: Under Eye Filler Hello Independent129069! My name is Jessica, I am a physician assistant, and one of the providers at Shah Facial Plastics. I am sorry to hear this! Based on the image, it is difficult to determine. However, the appearance of creases could be related to amount of filler used or the injection technique utilized. Filler injections require precision and expertise to achieve aesthetically pleasing results. If you're experiencing concerns or asymmetry following the treatment, I recommend scheduling an appointment for an in person consultation to better examine your face and come up with a treatment plan that will help achieve your aesthetic goals. I hope this helps and best of luck!

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Filler injections in the under-eye area require precision and expertise to achieve natural-looking results. If you're experiencing concerns or asymmetry after the undereye filler treatment, I recommend consulting with the doctor who performed the procedure or seeking a second opinion from a qualified and experienced injector. Best of luck !

Answer: Addressing Creases Around the Eye Creases forming around one of your eyes could be the result of too much filler in one area or simply an error in technique. Especially when it comes to restoring sensitive areas like that under the eyes, achieving optimal results with dermal fillers requires precision. It’s possible that you had an imperfect injection, and fortunately, it’s also possible to correct!Certain dermal filler formulas—and several other treatments—can be used to minimize lines or creases and restore a smooth look. We’d recommend talking with your clinician about the possible cause of these creases more specifically and about the possibility of correcting the issue with a filler or other supplemental treatment, like PRP injections. We hope this helps you find the right path forward.
