Had lip filler years ago and left with trembling mouth when smile - advice? (photos)

I haven’t had lip filler for over a year now, but between 2018-2021 I have had around 7 ml spread over the years. I now when I smile have a tremble like my mouth is shaking.. what is this and what should I do

Is it true that filler never goes away completely and that the only way to get rid of it is to dissolve it?

In my opinion, any injectable filler is capable of causing collagen formation and scar tissue through an immune response. In fact, some people have issues nodules and fullness after HA injections and the dissolving enzyme is not always curative.

Based on your before and after photos, it's not clear why you had Silicone removed from your lips. After your lip reduction scars are healed from removal of permanent filler, Volume replacement may be considered depending on your examination. Wishing you easy recovery. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
