Can I get implants with thin stretched skin? (Photos)

Really unhappy with how my breasts look. I've always had big breasts and with each pregnancy (4) they have got bigger. I've just finished breastfeeding and my breasts and now empty and saggy. Skin is thin.

The technique I recommend is a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Implants are not lifetime devices. 8% fail within the first year and 30% fail within six years. Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body.

Based on these photos, it appears that your treatment should consist of breast lift and augmentation. Selection of relatively smaller implants would prevent (slow) further screeching of skin. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is recommended. Good luck.

Thank you for your question and photos. From the photos, you have severe breast ptosis that absolutely need a breast lift. I advise Vertical-scar breast lift with round silicone implants. This surgery will help achieve more breasts fullness. You are an excellent candidate for a lift with implants. This procedure would entail removing a lot of the excess skin making the breast small and tight and then placing an implant. Most likely a gummy bear or a cohesive implant under the muscle so that the breast can look perky and full and round. You will always have the issue of having thin skin and depending on the quality of your breast tissue, you may actually be a good candidate for a dermo matrix. Any well breast specialist should be able to give you recommendations on this. Good luck.

determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.

Yes, once you are 6 months from breast feeding, you can consider getting a lift and implants. I would suggest not going too large for your sagging thinned tissue will not support heavy implants.

You can get implants to give you more volume but the drooping needs to be corrected to allow augmentation.
Seek an opinion from a member of BAAPS.  They should counsel you fully.
