Have a history of keloids in the family, can I still undergo a Forehead Reduction? (photos)

Hello! Forehead aesthetics can be influenced by a few factors such as your frontal and temporal hairlines, your brow position, and the shape of the frontal bones of your skull. The shape itself is determined by your frontal bones which should not be altered. However, the framing of your face can be altered and in this case I think there are two main options: 1. forehead reduction or 2. hair transplant.
I think you would be a good candidate for a forehead reduction given your anatomy.
Concerning the history of scarring in your family, you should still be fine to have forehead reduction surgery- keloids and hypertrophic scarring is less common on the face as long as your surgeon closes the incisions carefully. If the scar remains visible you can have resurfacing with a laser or dermabrasion or have a smaller hair transplant just along/ in front of the incision to help hide what should be a thin and barely perceptible incision. In the meantime, make sure not to keep your hair tied up in very tight ponytails/tight braids or cornrows as the high tension can cause hair loss. Best of luck with your journey!
