Can nerve damage from a facelift cause hot flashes 5 years post op?

Hi I am 62 years of age and I had a face lift about 5 years ago . When bandages were off and bruising had gone . I noticed I was now having hot flushes across my face which I didn’t have before surgery. I told the surgeon about this and he said it was my hormones due to menopause and told me to take soya . I went on HRT which did help . Now I’m not on HRT as been on it for over 5 years and came off due to cancer risk . My face is now more hot flushes causing me to feel really hot and sweaty . I’m not sleeping because of it . I really think that this is not Menopause but Nerve damage from face lift . What are your thoughts and if this is the case is their a treatment I could have for this ,

Crystal clear, per your description you have this Frey's syndrome due to nerve damage and erroneous regeneration of it.

Several treatments might be useful, including surgery or others as last resort.

You'd rather consult with a Internal Medicine practitioner.
