My right breast is a weird shape from the side and has a dent at the bottom when I left my arms up or tense. It’s really stressing me out do you have any idea what this could be? Thanks :)
Answer: "Dent" in Implant When Raising Your Arms Thank you for questioning regarding your “dent “in your breasts after breast augmentation. You have what is called capsule contractor. Caps of contractor is normal scar tissue that develops around an implant. Everyone has scar tissue. However some have more scar tissue than others. In your case you have more scar tissue than average and the scar tissue is causing the dent. Conservatively, I would suggest breast implant massages. This should be coordinated with your plastic surgeon and he or she will suggest the best way to do breast massages. Another medically proven treatment to decrease capsular contracture around your implant is with a medication called Singlulair. This medication decreases scar tissue around breast implants can minimize capsular contracture. If these two conservative methods do not work, you may require surgery. During surgery either the entire capsule is removed (this is called a partial total capsulectomy) or part of the capsule around the implant is removed (this is called a partial capsulectomy). Alternatively, an incision can be made in the capsule and this is called a capsulotomy. Your plastic surgeon will discuss these if these are needed. Good luck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: Implant I suspect your implants are behind the muscle and there is a bit of scar tissue that tugs down on the muscle when you raise your arms.

Answer: Dent Dear xxelz_smithxx, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Indentation of skin of vertical infraareolar segment of augmentation / mastopexy. Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note an indentation of the skin involving the vertical infraareolar segment of the healing augmentation / mastopexy scar. The scars appear relatively fresh. This may represent an adhesion of the skin to deeper underlying tissues or the result of a capsular contracture. It may be wise to revisit your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
