Botox needs to be used very carefully in the lower eyelid. It’s better avoided in those who show protrusion of lower eyelid, fat pads. The tension of the orbiculus ocular muscle helps hold periorbital septum back and weakness of the muscle allows the septum to bulge forward making lower eyelid pads look worse.What’s your provider treating? Wrinkles in your lower eyelid?Most experienced providers should know better than to treat the muscle in this area. If I do, it’s usually right at the lash line.The Botox should wear off in three months. It may take a little time for the muscle to regain its normal strength and tension.
