I had otoplasty done 4 months ago and I still have stitches visible? Plus bumps on the cartilage and my ears are still very unsymmetrical. Im due to see my surgeon this week but im very concerned this is a botched procedure.

After otoplasty (ear surgery), it is normal to have some visible stitches during the initial stages of healing. However, at four months post-surgery, it is expected that the majority of the stitches would have dissolved or been removed by your surgeon. The presence of visible stitches at this stage may warrant further examination by your surgeon to ensure proper healing.

Regarding the bumps on the cartilage and asymmetry of your ears, these are concerns that your surgeon should evaluate during your appointment. Post-operative swelling and tissue changes can contribute to temporary asymmetry, but if you are still experiencing significant differences between your ears, it's important to discuss this with your surgeon.
