2 weeks post op, scar weeping. Is this normal?

i am post 2 weeks 2 days post op tummy tuck with hip flanks lipo ,and my scar where one of my dissolvable stitches as gone i noticed when i changed my dressing it had a blood like fluid on my dressing is this normal whilst it heals.

You should follow up with your surgeon as this might need an in person examination. It is difficult to help you without at least pictures or seeing your incision personally. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. Without photos it is difficult to assess exactly what is happening. It is not uncommon to have some drainage on the dressings following the procedure. It is best to have an in-person examination by your plastic surgeon to make sure you are not developing a fluid collection (seroma, hematoma) beneath the skin. Hope this helps.

Although some drainage from the tummy tuck suture line can occur "normally", it may also be a sign of an underlying problem.
