Question

My surgeon took a picture of my nose right after surgery in theatre and it looked perfect. Now I've got the cast off I hate it and I have a bump on my supratip. What could have happened? Is this just swelling and is the look of the nose right after surgery's complete going to be my final look? I had hump reduction and removal of cartilage to make my bridge thinner.

percent of individuals can see a positive change at one week following
surgery. However, approximately ten
percent of individual’s experience swelling and bruising that can last for a
number of weeks. Most of the time, it takes up to one full year for the nose to completely heal, but around three to four months after the surgery the changes will be the most obvious.Please schedule a follow-up appointment with your surgeon to monitor your improvement and health.

It takes time to see final result after rhinoplasty.  Be patient.  Specific questions can only be answered by your surgeon since he is the only one who knows surgical facts about your case.

Thanks for your question. It is very common for some swelling to increase after the cast is removed. This is especially true in the tip area; as this area remains swollen the longest. Obviously your surgeon will be your best resource, but try not to worry. Hope this helps.
