Hi there. I'm going to attach a photo which shows what my nose looks like from the front and also from the side. I completely despise how big my nose it but have no idea what to do about it! I know for sure that I'm unable to afford rhinoplastry so basically I'm out of luck, aren't I?
Answer: My nose looks fine from the front but absolutely massive from the side? Yes, the only option to reduce the size of the nose and change its shape is rhinoplasty. It would be worth seeking several consultations just to get an idea of what surgery will cost you in the future. This will at least give you a savings goal for a future procedure. If your profile troubles you, your plastic surgeon will likely also mention or discuss in detail the option of chin augmentation to add more balance to your facial profile. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Rhinoplasty for overly projecting nose and chin implant for under projecting chin The photograph demonstrates an overly projecting nose, and an under projecting chin. The rhinoplasty procedure can reduce the projection of the nose and removed the dorsal hump. A chin implant can add projection to the chin to help with facial proportions and balance and give the illusion that the nose is less projecting. Both procedures can be performed together or separately depending upon the patient's desires. For many examples of this combination and our price list, please see the link and the video below

Answer: Rhinoplasty to reduce size of nose It appears from the photos that you submitted that you have a dorsal hump and the nose is overprojected(or sticking too far from your face). This is something that would have to be addressed surgically with a rhinoplasty. Unfortunately, that is the only way you are going to be able to address those concerns. Additionally, what makes the nose look larger on your face is the fact that your chin looks weak. Placing a chin implant at the time of surgery would create more balanced facial harmony on your face.

Answer: "Massive" Nose on Profile Removing the hump, decreasing tip projection and augmentation of your weak chin with an implant will significant improve balance in your profile. I'm sorry that you don't have the disposable income at this time but i would encourage you to do this in the future.

Answer: My nose looks fine from the front but absolutely massive from the side? Yes, you are correct that a rhinoplasty is the option to reduce and refine the nose. In addition, you do have a weak chin. Having a weak chin will actually make the nose appear larger. I suggest contacting a facial plastic or plastic surgeon to discuss this issue and make a plan.
