The answer is no, you can have a drink or two and be fine in terms of swelling/bruising and healing. However, I recommend to my patients no alcohol for 2 weeks before and after the surgery to get the best results without complications. Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi John I´m sorry you are through this. Seroma happens due to the space created once the fat is removed. One simple option is to leave a closed drain for a few days until there is less than 25ml per day coming out. Best wishes.
